FALL 2018

October 25, 2018, 7:30 pm: Rachel Carlson, Rob Tudor, and Bobb Robinson, vocalists, and Jean Browne and Yu-Hsuan Liao, pianists, present a Salon Series, From the Inkwell: A Recital of Poetry and Passion, at Shepherd University.

October 26, 2018, 7:30 pm: Shepherd University Chamber Singers, Men’s Choir, and Camerata (SSAA) present their fall choral concert, conducted by Dr. Rachel Carlson, Dr. Rob Tudor, and student conductors.

October 28, 2018, 5:00 pm: The Washington Master Chorale presents “The Earth and I,” featuring Lori Laitman’s work by the same title and other new music.

November 10, 2018, 7:30 pm: The Shepherd University Masterworks Chorale, soloists, and orchestra present Baroque Masterpieces: G. F. Handel’s coronation anthem “The King Shall Rejoice” and J. S. Bach’s Cantata no. 150 and “Lutheran Mass”, BWV 236, conducted by Rachel Carlson.

December 8 & 9, 2018, 7:30 & 3:00 pm: The Shepherd University Music Department presents their annual Holiday Gala, featuring the Shepherd University Choirs, Wind Ensemble, and Jazz Ensemble. The Holiday Gala is held in the Frank Center Theater.

December 20 & 23, 2018, 7:30 & 5:00 pm: Washington Master Chorale presents their annual Christmas program, “Birth Dance.”

SPRING 2019

January 27 & February 2, 2019, 4:30 & 7:30 pmSix Degree Singers, conducted by Rachel Carlson and Katelyn Aungst, presents “Choral Inspirations II,” featuring the music that inspired our members in their younger years and encouraged them to continue singing today.

March 3, 2019, 5:00 pm: The Washington Master Chorale presents “Paris to London,” featuring Durufle’s Requiem and Vaughan Williams’ In Windsor Forest.

April 5, 2019, 7:30 pm: Shepherd University Chamber Singers, Men’s Choir, and Camerata (SSAA) present their spring choral concert, conducted by Drs. Rachel Carlson, Rob Tudor, and student conductors.

April 27, 2019, 7:30 pm: Shepherd University Masterworks Chorale and Wind Ensemble present a new work by Johan de Meij, Symphony no. 5 “Return to Middle Earth.” Conducted by Dr. Rachel Carlson and Dr. Scott Hippensteel.

June 1 & 2, 2019: Six Degree Singers, conducted by Rachel Carlson and Katelyn Aungst, celebrates our 10th anniversary with a program of our Greatest Hits over the past 10 years! Come celebrate with us!
